Suppliments in water spreyer?

So I have a hard time getting my pacman to get supplements from his dusted food. He does not not eat right away and by the time he does they have jumped in the water and no dust is on them. Is it okay to put a SMALLLLL amount in his water bottle I spray him with and just spray him? I would guess its just like him eating it as long as I don't over due the dosages? Also do pacman frogs need vitamin D3? I read somewhere they are one of the frogs that don't require it but do need there vitamins? @an anyone tell me for sure?

As far as diluting the vitamins in water and spraying it on him to absorb it, more than likely the most of the vitamins in the supplement you are using is not going to be water soluble. It's not going to be real effective dosage wise amd may not even benefit him at all. It's much more important for him to ingest it getting the supplements and vitamins into his bloodstream, etc.

You could try getting a little glass bowl and placing it in the dirt for the crickets to jump in or place them in there. See if he's interested in that or you could get his attention. Have you tried earthworms if they're supplemented and placed in front of him with forceps? Yes he needs vitamin d3 since he naturally doesn't synthesize it from uvb light. Doesn't need a lot of it, since you wouldn't find a pacman just basking under the sun. Vitamin d3 helps absorb/process calcium to the bones building bone mass that is essential in a growing frog.

so does he get the vit d3 from suppliments or is the suppliments what burns the vit d3? my buddy said that i could get him a kiddie pool and put half shade have sun and let him pick what he wants and that would be perfect for him concerning anything about the D3....if i did that would i still need to give him a D3 vit or would the sun do all the work for that part and all i would need is the regular vitamins?

Have you tried feeding the crickets the dust before you put them in the Pacman's cage? I do that with my lizards and when Octavian was alive I did that with him. Just put enough in the container and leave the crickets be for 20-30 minutes, when you return near all of the dust should be gone

they will eat the dust? i did not know that....and it works the same as dusting them?

A frog digests near all to all of the cricket, while he's digesting the cricket he is also digesting the dust and or vitamins that the cricket has eaten. That's why a lot of people gut load their crickets (means feed their crickets before feeding the crickets to the animal that they got them for). If the crickets won't eat the dust plain then coat the food you give them with the dust, they'll ingest it then. Remember to dust the outside of the cricket as well when you give them to your frog, that way he'll get double the dust and calcium
