That rat looks much to large for that Pacman! Couldn't it also injure the Pacman by biting it's face and neck like that!?
Youtube is loaded with videos like that. As BG calls it Torturetube. Which is not overstated by any means. I do enjoy watching other peoples Pacmans eat, but some go too far with what they feed them. I saw a video on youtube of a Pacman frog being fed a breaded chicken finger. Ignorant and stupid. I wouldn't be surprised if it killed the Pacman which I'm hoping it didn't. Yes any rat or mouse who is old enough to have teeth will bite your frog as a defence. And can seriously injure your frog. If you're going to feed live mice or rats to your frog only feed the pups or live newborn pinky mice. If their eyes are open then you can bet they have their teeth as well and will bite your frog. Mostly they injure the frogs eyes.
Look at this video!!! Such an irresponsible, sick and ignorant owner!!!Poor toad, I know the pac can't help striking it, but the owner should have known better...!!! Also, terrible setup, I mean, c'mon, ROCK SUBSTARTE? Do these people even research out the pet they are getting before they get it!?
P.S. In part one it had the toad by it's stomach pretty sure it broke it's ribs and caused internal bleeding, just look at how it gulped for air at 0:06, almost like it was swallowing blood...
I don't know why would some one with a beautiful frog like that feed it a big mouse. This could tear up the frogs intestines and eventually kill the frog. In the beginning of the battle the frog could loose an eye and get bit. Danger starts as soon as the mouse is in the tank all the way to the end where the frog passes the mouse. His rear end could tear apart. Its sad that all these frogs out there have to live this way. Very sad!!!!!![]()
It is so hard to watch videos like those. Makes me wish I could tell the person all the reasons why not to their face. Seems like amphibian abuse goes mainly unpunished on Youtube. There are some people who may be "ignorant", but this is just plain abuse. If you try to tell people that feeding live (consious) adult mice is bad for the health of the frog, they alot of times just get nasty and accuse you of being an animal lover. Breaks my heart.![]()
Ugh, god those videos make me feel sick. It's a real shame that people treat their frogs so badly for entertainment...
If these videos offend you so badly, why on earth are you seeking them out and watching them?!?!?!
I didn't watch them in this post because they bother me........so why would I look for them? It's not like I can change the outcome or the actions of these idiots. If they are stupid enough to do this, do you think they will listen to reason?
You can't always tell which ones are bad until you start watching them. Sometimes the bad ones are titled something innocuous like "My Pacman." I agree, and I don't watch youtube very much anymore, but when I got my first Pacman I had no clue what I was doing and was desperate for information. I spent alot of time surfing the web for info and came across so many disturbing videos. Luckily I found this forum!![]()
i don't sit and look for the harmful videos they just come up at times when ur looking at regular videos and it will say frog vs mouse u click on it and then u see a 2 foot rat
There's a video of a guy that feeds his albino pac a live zebra finch which is prett *****d up
Eugh! Sick & twisted.

Flagging the videos doesn't do much to stop them being posted. In the eyes of YouTube, there is nothing wrong with them. And truthfully, unless an animal is shown to be harmed, there isn't much they can do. It is the owner's right to feed the frogs what they want in the end. I don't flag videos because I am a staunch believer in the right to express yourself. We all have differing opinions as to what is proper regarding foods, substrate & handling.........we will not all agree on all points.
What I do know is that some of the videos disturb me and since I have the right not to watch, I exercise my rights. I have way too much to do in a day to waste time fussing at folks about the videos they post. Now if I come across kiddie porn or an actual crime, then I will report it. Otherwise I avoid it if I can.
Yeah good point. I just think people are a little ignorant when not listening to the advice of people who are 'experienced' with husbandry for a certain type of frog. The mass majority of people who would agree I would much rather take that advice. If you are not out to get help or gain knowledge on how to properly care for your frog is when you become an irresponsible pet owner which in a sense is abuse.
Take for example when I first joined this site, I barely had a clue on how to care for my pixie frog before I found the care sheet John wrote for them. Best care sheet hands down, I take his advice everyday on it and wouldn't doubt any of his experience with them. I respect his knowledge and like to gain more from learning more from other people. If people aren't taking the opportunity to go out and find care sheets, etc., then I don't think they should be entitled to their own opinions on their frog and we should leave comments on the video to help them.
I mean I've left comments on the videos helping people out housing their frogs on incorrect substrate and feeding them inappropriately sized meals and taught them what I've learned from this site. Some took some of the advice I gave them, and some other people got mad. That's just the way it goes, but we should be able to help if we have the time to take 10 seconds to leave a comment.
Sick and horrifying! You'd think the people who are feeding their Pacman Frogs those huge rats or that little frog would have some common sense! Most of the people who post videos on Youtube really just want to have attention and are risking the life of their frog to get it. It's why I stay away from Pacman Frog videos on Youtube, because a lot of them are about feeding idiotically large meals to the animal
