Very nice. I'm glad that Luna is doing well. Its also nice to see that you had your new frog in quarantine. Many people are too impatient and regret it later. Thanks for sharing pictures.

    Thanks Cheri,

I agree- I'm sure , without any intent, people do it the wrong way.

Cheri, I had three notifications ( comments on pic from my album) I replied to one.
I wanted to reply to the other 2 ( one was a questions). I viewed them and closed. How so I find them again ?

Morning after 1st night in big tank!
    Photo - below-
It looks as though all went well. I got during the night to spy on them. At 1am Luna was on the glass , awake, alert, hanging out on the opposite side of the tank. At 4am I saw Luna on the feeding side of the tank- on the bottom (on the paper towel) looking like any other night waiting for a cricket to walk by. I took this photo at 7:30 am ( I got up late) the lights were on already. Unfortunately, I missed the dawn /pre-auto light interaction with Luna and tank mates. So, I did not get to see Luna eat! I made dinner easy w/ lots of different size medium and small crickets.

Luna - Sleeping like a baby next to my rescued red eye ( that I think is a female) . Sorry for the wire in the photo ( it's from my thermometer/humidity monitor), I did not want to disturb them.

That frog is beautiful. I like the contrast against the green one. I had two tiny baby ones shipped to me and one was DOA and the second didn't last more than 3 days.
Where did you get your adult one from!?

    Hi Luke and FrogFever,

'Comet' , young ( albino RETF ) is doing well - very recently out of quarantine. I always get their names mixed up!
I purchased 2 of the from a Rep shop her on Long Island, NY on Aug 9th , this past summer.
This one in the photo is quite a bit longer than the other still in quarantine ('Luna'). Photos of both together in my album.

    Link to the shop:

    www.junglebobsreptileworld.com

The breeder is Bill Schwinn ( Florida ). However I do not think he sells privately.
Maybe at shows there? Not sure.So my frogs were order - from him - through the shop - for me.
I know how to contact him if you are interested. I purchased my Black -eyed tree frog through them as well,
    but from a different breeder.

I am fortunate enough to have greats shows very near by 2X/year here on LI. And, JungleBob's has been great.
I paid $39.00 for the albinos, and $49.00 for the black-eye. That is soooo much less $$ money then what I read about elsewhere.

The other in this pic is the only frog ( of my 6) that I purchased as an adult.
I rescued her from horrible conditions at a pet shop. I am convinced at this point it is a female, as I have never heard her call.
She was very banged up when I got her. She actually had open scratches on her face; she has a little scar on the tip of her nose due to her injuries. The objects in the tank at the pet shop were so unsafe for RETF. I had a distilled water treatment dish in her quarantine tank for 5 months. She never darkens and her stripes are more diffuse - a beautiful color- more aqua. There might be another photo of her in my album. You can always tell it's her-she is always that nice light green color. She cost me more money than the others. I did not ask for a discount ( having been injured at that time). I just wanted to get her out of there and try to save her. We had a little conversation after I paid for her , for sure! Soooo - she hit the honey pot. Her name is 'Cricket'. She stayed the same size for a long time. She is still lean but has grown quite a bit in length. She is longest compared to all the rest. Hopefully she will continue to get some size on her. She eats really well.

    Thanks for looking, Lynn

    FYI,
Very informative site. You can search for information on any frog. This particular page is re: A. callidryas .

<All five Agalychnis species (A. annae, A. callidryas, A. moreletii, A. saltator, and A. spurrelli) are now under CITES protection, under Appendix II (as of March 21, 2010). Within the past decade the U.S. alone has imported 221,960 Agalychnis frogs, according to the Species Survival Network (SSN).>
