I got 2 adult ( 2-3 inch) whites on Friday evening to be tank mates with a 4 inch female wtf. They were both jumpy and active on the drive home, one of them is eating, letting me feed him, playing in the water and bouncing around the tank. The other, Kirk, is only sleeping. He will move to different spots in the tank once or twice in 24 hours for temp, but nothing else. I am checking them all hours, he never goes in the water. He doesn't play, hunt, or eat even when I try and hand feed him (my other two love it), his color is good, lime green. He has no physical issues..... Any ideas on how to coax him into eating?
They usually need time to settle in and sometimes this could take a week or so. Letting him be is usually the best solution as is complete night time darkness. Checking on him routinely can also be making him stay put so give hi some time and hopefully he'll come around.
