I also wanted to add it also depends on things like temperatures, amount of growth its going under(that's why they shed their skin in the first place imo), and moisture. A shedding animal NEEDS moisture to make it easy on them. Otherwise it'll be like rubbing sand paper on their skin.

You might want to get a bigger water bowl too. lol and slightly deeper. Only deep enough though that the frogs mouth is covered but not it's nostrills. It's like an adult trying to swim in a kiddy pool.

i bought the small size exo terra feeding dish (should have get the large one) it's still fine for him now since he only use half of it, but i guess soon enough i'll need another one. I stick some small gravel on one side with fish safe silicon so it's easier for him to climb out. even the highest water level is only below his mouth. thinking about taking away some gravel to give it some more space to soak.

I would remove any gravel or moss as the frog could accidentally swallow these objects and become impacted and die. Nothing that is solid and could be accidentally ingested during feeding. Your frog should be housed on coconut fiber.

Replace gravel for large river rocks. They cannot swallow that. They're not even THAT stupid to even attempt it. Lol. Just try to get big ones. Sand also works. Inspite of what people say I never had an animal impacted from being housed with sand. I keep turtles, a pacman, toads, etc. The turtles have sand, and soon will the pacman. my friends pacmanhad sand in his bowl.

Sand is bad for pacman frogs because if they decide to burrow in it it can scratch theire eyes also if it bites some the sand can get stuck in the corner of the jaw and cause a grinding effect and an infection. Sand is bad for pacman frogs. I wouldn't advise it due to these problems that can occure.

not a clear shot cuz lights r off. just wanna show the size.
gravels are secured by silicon half way in inside the water bowl, more like a stone carpet. even just grab one piece is going to lift the whole thing.
and the huge piece of stuff on the right is one whole piece of cushion moss unless he purposely dig the edge out and bite it, i dont think he could took in any by accident.

but still i am gonna move everything out and leave just the water bowl cuz this fat little thing is getting BIG and getting big fast. btw he just change his favorite spot to the side, where he can squish himself in that little space.

guess the only thing i can play around in there is the background....

Don't mean to change topic, but do they eat when they are shedding?
