I don't think there is one answer to this, since my toads are in an out of hiding all day long when I'm home. But I feed them once a day around 7 pm and I feed them with tweezers so I know they are eating and getting the calcium and minerals they need. My experience is if I just dust and let them in the tank the bugs can remove the dusting before the toads get to them. Also crickets can get under the bedding.

I put 3 Crickets in total last night and cant find either of them. I was digging around and still cant find em. He stays hidden almost all day either in the Humid hide or under the bedding.


I saw he was awake in the humid hide, so i tossed him 2 crickets and didnt hesitate to eat em. So Now just want to build him a display setup and get the Dubias. Im happy how well hes settled down.
