    this is a defensive behavior, retf, as with most frogs retain as much moisture as they can, when you pick your frog up and it "pee's" it is actually depleting its reserve of water, and when doing it on a daily basis it is not good. handle this species when you have to only, I.E. cage cleaning.

    Generally pet frogs become accustomed to people enough not to empty their bladder every time they're picked up, but these are definitely a "look, don't touch" pet.
