    Default Throat Bulge or Croaking?

Agian, a little worried, so I'm getting to the point:

Over the past few days, I've noticed when I pick up my brown toad, he makes these little chirps by inflating his throat, I've also noticed his throat looks a little different.

I've seem him when he inflates his throat, but he inflates just a little bit, well when I went to check on him today, he was sitting there with throat inflated a little?

I thought they only inflated their throat to croak? Also, why does he croak when I pick him up? And why would he have it partially inflated just sitting?

Here's a photo, sorry for the bad quality (my camera):

    Thanks

    ~Royce

It's a male, so it croaks when you pick it up thinking your hand is another male trying to attach himself to it (letting it know it's also a male) :P

Male toads after they eat often leave their throat puffed out, it's a natural thing. Just like us holding air in our cheeks; again nothing to worry about. Both my American and Texas toads do it.
