I would say there both relatively easy to care for. Whites just need a little bit higher temperatures and can be handled more often

We breed the Pacs & hope to breed the White's in the future.
I think they are both fairly easy to keep and it all come down to preferences.
If you want a frog that you can handle a White's is the one for you.
If you want a frog for display that is awesome, then a Pac will do.
Either way, they are great frogs!!

Alright, I initially first fell in love with the pacs but when I was reading around on the internet there are a bunch of sites that say they arent the best for beginner frog owners. I'm deffinantly going to start with White's, but I will get at least one pac some day. I just didn't know if they are more picky about their enviroment or something. It'll be some time, but I can't wait until I can get one.

I actually just picked up a Pacman today at the hudson valley reptile expo. You can check him out I'm gonna post a thread on him. I also owned two whites tree frogs that we're both males. I loved them...I miss them dearly but had to part with them when I moved...I wouldn't say the whites are harder. I found them to be relatively easy, and are pretty hardy. They can be quite noisy sometimes though lol. I personally liked listening to them converse, but at 3 in the morning I didn't haha! Good luck with either one you decide on, and make sure you do lots of research before buying!! Have fun!

Also! I wanted to mention this, and forgot. I used to keep min in a 20 gallon, and used a UVB bulb. Some say that these are pointless with white's, and I agree they aren't necessary. But I found when I provided them with it they seemed more active, and displayed a more "alert" behavior. I personally would recommend it, and they do also seem to like the company of another whites. My two boys we're inseparable lol

Congrats on your decision and when you do get a Pacman there will be several people who can help you prepare and answer any questions. There are White's owners on the forum who can also assist in your care for your white's and most definetly will have very helpful advice.

They are both nice frogs. The whites are easier and more forgiving then the wonderful pacman. The pacman likes it at 80 F and 75 % humidity. The whites like it at 75 F and 50% humidity. They both like a water bowl, and no lights. The whites are more hardy then the pacman. They can tolerate temp, humidity changes much better then pacman. One likes it high, the other likes it low.lol
