Sorry! I'm back. I just responded. Oh- someone asked how long it took for him to eat the rocks. Only a day or two.

    WOW! That is CRAZY!

I've bought and have been given my pacman frogs and both, believe it or not, are housed in pebbles!!!

I've read they shouldn't be and so I'm in the process of changing it and I'm sure hoping they don't have that in their guts!

Now that it's been a couple years, still have Minion? (my boy would love that name BTW!)

Amazing x-ray photo and great warning to fellow amphibian lovers! Glad Minion is okay!

Hi! Yes- I still have Minion. And he's still in a tank WITHOUT gravel. He doesn't have very discriminating taste when it comes to things that fit in his mouth! I am glad that you're switching your beasties out of the pebbles. Poor Minion was suffering quite a bit when he ate the rocks and I'd hate for another frog to go through it! I was lucky that he survived. Would love to see some pictures of your frogs!

Budgies in the wild will feed on freshwater snails in the shape and size of those round pebbles. It may not be surprising to see Minion gobble all those rocks up! Its instinct certainly encouraged Minion to do so.
