One of my RETF from my original group had died sometime in the night, and I'm just trying to figure out what happened, or maybe he was just getting old? He was at least 2 y/o but that's the best guess I've got. I found him in the dish I put the crickets in, he had the back feet on the floor of the bowl and his front feet were on the rim, like he was "standing" and about to climb out. His eyes were half open. The other two are perfectly fine, my temps and humidity have been stable, everyone's been eating and soaking and moving around and pooping normally. I'm wondering if it was just his time to go because he was WAY smaller than my other two males, he never really grew at all while my other two got a bit bigger as time went by, but he was always just as active.
That is strange. I had a similar situation with one of my Red Eyes awhile back although he was still a juvenile. He never really grew very much and then one day he was just dead. I did a thorough cleaning of everything from water dishes to substrate just to be certain I didn't have any kind of contaminate. I think sometimes its just a failure to thrive. Its hard to say. Keep a close eye on your other frogs. Sorry for your loss.
