also his skin feels hard so he may be hibernating btw did I mention this is my first post and I'm new?![]()
Feel free to ask any questions. There are several experienced owners on here and would be happy to answer any questions. Shouldn't be hibernating that's their long winter sleep. Your little one is probably aestivating which is like sleeping with their eyes open. Don't handle the little guy/girl much. The oils from your hands and any soap residue or chemicals/lotions are harmful to him/her. Always wash your hands very thoroughly with a mild cleanser and rince really well. Then use dechlorinated water and rince your hands with it before handleing. They are extremely sensitive as babies. There is a Pacman Frog Care Article on the forum under the Care Articles. I suggest reading it. The article will help you get started. You need to know temp and humidity. ASAP buy both a thermometer and hygrometer to place within the frogs enclosure.
Thats funny. lol Welcome to the forum.Did you get the thermometer and hygrometer yet . Its very important that you monitor the tank. Also get rid of the moss. add coco fiber. What size tank is that. Go over the care sheet on here, its very helpful. If you can keep him at 80 degrees, and 75 % humid ,he'll be very happy. The big tank might freak him out so you can get a creeper keeper for now with a weter bowl. and coco fiber. Keep us updated.
thanks for the advice ill be sure to get a thermo/hydro soon
