I know it's usually forbidden to mix different species reptiles/amphibians, but I figured I'd ask.
Are there any dart frogs than can be housed together?
Thanks.
The only experience I can share on this is that I've kept young Dendrobates tinctorius with Phyllobates terribilis for extended periods of time, but once the tinctorius reached adult size I removed them because they are aggressive towards all other frogs. I would not recommend keeping any species with other species on a permanent basis. Aside from the issues of disease transmission and aggression, these frogs carry their own set of nasty chemicals as protection. I would not be surprised if they could mutually poison each other, or at least cause a low level of stress on a constant basis.
