Beautiful Pacman Frog! Albino Pacman Frogs are going to be your Ceratporhys cranwelli (which yours is). These are also known as Cranwell's Horned Frog. You may see these refered to as the "Argentine Horned Frog", but I believe technically Argentine Horned Frogs are Ceratoprhys ornata (aka Orante Horned/Pacman Frog).
Pacman Frogs like to burrow and hide. In a larger tank you probably wont see them as much. It is recomended to start out young Pacman Frogs in a smaller tank, like was said before.
It is nearly impossible to determine the sex of a young Pacman Frog. There are afew things that are usually more specific to a certain gender such as the shape of the snout, the coloration of the chin, and feet pads, and the rate of growth. Even a collection of multiple signs still doesn't for sure determine the gender of your Pacman Frog. Once it grows older, males will be able to croak at 9 months, but often they don't until they are older. If it croaks later (not to be confused with other vocal noises), then you have yourself a male. If it grows past 5 1/2" without croaking, then it is probably a female (cranwelli males usually stop growing at 4", in very rare cases they get more than 5"). That is pretty much the best we can do right now when it comes to sexing.
Sounds like you are doing a good job taking care of him. I second the previous members' dietary and homing suggestions. Congratulations on your new buddy!![]()
