Mostly aquatic setup for fbt - suggestions?

this was our set up to begin with (10g) which housed 1 fbt and 3 tree frogs, which have been re-homed since i learned from my first post that different species of frogs do not mix. anyway, i found out the hard way that the water is not so easy to keep clean with the fbt jumping back and forth so i'm wanting to go mostly aquatic, maybe the opposite of this as far as ratio goes (1/4 dry, 3/4 wet).

any suggestions on substrate i can use that won't harm the now 3 fbts? i was thinking sand but i think that will get stuck in the reptile filter i'm going to get. i'll definitely build up some kind of waterfall so the water stays fairly calm, but i would also like to put in some live plants. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I still say sand, unless you place the filter right up against the sand.

I would also suggest putting some boulders in the water where they can stop and rest on. Pothos is also a plant that likes water and the frogs would have something to float on.

So can you literary put pothos in water(full water) and it won't rot or anything? like floating i mean.
