I bought an Albino a few days ago, his tank is lined with Coco Fiber. When I got him he had some green on both sides of his stomach, and now he seems to be gaining more green every day and looking Less Albino????? Has this ever been heard of?

We've seen this quite a bit in ours.......they ALL change somewhat as they mature. The albinos are much more noticeable. You also have to remember that there are many varieties of color "Morphs" in the albinos.

We ship anywhere in the US. We are working on getting FedEx Certified so the cost of shipping will be less intimidating!!
We tried Ship Your Reptiles and the costs are ridiculous......they go through FedEx so we figured why not just do it ourselves. We have a few friends who have done the same and the costs go down considerably.

I noticed the Ornates react differently with the color changes.......they seem to be more like chameleons with the colors being an indicator of moods rather than environment.

Very interesting. I'm comparing them to the flowerhorn cichlids i had in the past. The lighter the gravel the lighter the fish, the darker the gravel the darker the fish.
