Okay, we breed C. cranwelli.
We have had to learn as we go the first year and have noticed a few things since we started about colors.
We have noticed that when kept on coco fiber, ALL colors tend to darken down (our guess is to blend better with the environment) quite a bit. Greens will turn brown. Browns will turn almost black. Even Albinos will dull out.
Prior to going to an Expo to vend, we will keep them in containers with a paper towel substrate so that their true colors will show. I also explain to customers that the colors will darken once they are placed in an enclosure with coco fiber.
have any of you noticed this type of change in your pet?
Try it out, take photos and post them so others can see it. I will try to do the same.
I just figured it would help folks who are shopping for a Pac to choose one when shopping the pet stores.......gives a better idea of what color they are bringing home.
