There you go buddy . These are good signs. He is thirsty and he also had to go. He will be fine. Through gh a cricket in front of him,but before you do that brake the back legs off so he won't get away fast. Do you have tongs? if not get some with the rubber tips so you woun't heart there lips. My ornate loves to bite on the tongs, where i had to swing him off of them.lol
So should I feed him crickets using tongs ? and ofcourse feed him at night right ?
Yup wave the cricket in front of his mouth or just throw the crickets in front of him. and go away. You might have a secret eater. I do. The container is small so he don't have to go crazy chasing them. Put 4 3/4 of on inch in with him and go away for 3 hours and come back and check up. Put him in a dark warm place.
thanks ! I'll do it tonight and see what happens and update this thread
Update: broke the legs off the cricket and put it in front of the pac, and it didn't take it. So I put the cricket in and will check tomorrow morning.
Mine also still will not eat, all he does all day and all night is burrown and covers himself 100 percent. Right now I can't even see him!!! Temps and what not are all right. Should I be uncovering him to try to get him to eat? Or just wait to see if he comes out from his whole?
I think since they are new ,let them do what they do in there new home. For 24 hours don't bother them. Let them burrow and come out on there own. They will be OK. Give them a chance to adjust. Just make sure that the temp is 80 and 65% humidity. Thats your priority right now is to make them feel good. You will get over this hump. just give them some space.
what time of day are you feeding your frog? Mine will only eat at night when the room lights are off.
around 9-10 at night
