We just added a new frog to the tank. He has been in there around 36 hours and was keeping to himself. Hippity-the male- tried mating with what i am assuming is a new female. However in the past hour he has taken the new frog-now named Lucy- and instead of grabbing the waste, he will only grab around the neck and drag Lucy into the water while strangling her. Now my question is, could this new frog-though quiet- be a male that hippity is trying to kill. It sounds stupid when i think about it, but im watching them now and Hippity is attacking the new frog.
If it's two males, can they live together in a 20 long or should i return the newest one?
They make stupid mistakes like this all the time. They should be fine.

ok, Hippity is just being so mean to the new frog. Now when he can't get his arms around newbie neck he starts head butting it in the side to push newbie into the water.Newbie is now doing nothing but trying to escape. The frog is actually attached to the glass like a tree frog.
Poor froggy, I don't know what to say. Its probably normal though.
