one of my mudskippers has become aggressive and lashed out on the frog and the other mudskipper and well here is what happened to the frog...
The it lost one of it toes (the red spot on the leg is where it used to be, it is not bleeding and has not become infected, The aggressive male mudskipper is being returned to the pet store (with a full refund). (the other mudskipper to a lot of damage to its fins)
They shouldn't be in together . Mud skippers are territorial big time. Oh man what a bummer . poor little guy. I think in frogs the limbs grow back. Correct me if I'm wrong.
the reason they were originally together is because I have a docile mudskipper that got along fine with the frog it turns out the docile one is a female, so I'm getting rid of the male tomorrow. when it was only the female mudskipper and the frog no fights occurred and no aggression during feeding time. Limbs don't always grow back (I learned this from injured frogs I've rescued).
Poor frog it looks so sad.
Is the one with the missing toe swimming all right? Thats like me losing an arm!
That's great to hear! Can't wait to see the photo!
