				Hello welcome to the forum.
In NZ we can keep only 3 species of frogs:
1. Green and Golden Bell frog (Litoria Aurea)
2. Whistling/Brown Tree frog (Litoria Ewiingi)
3. Golden or Southern Bell Frog (Litori Raniformis)
All 3 are native to Australia, we can't keep our native frogs as all 4 species are endangered. Unfortunately I don't think we can import in any frogs either.

Yeah you guys are very limited as Luke said when it comes to keeping frogs. But being on an island and having a tropical region like you do that leaves your country suseptable to invasive species that could severely damage your already endangered native populations. Just like the Cane toad that was native to Central and South America being introduced to Australia. That is now a very invasive and dangerous species that they are desperate to get rid of. We see the same thing in the US with the Cuban tree frogs in the tropical areas of the state of Florida. These introduced speciesvcan sometimes out compete our native populations for food or simply devour them. With the warm humid climate like you have in certain areas your government is being very cautious...but rightfully so.

				Completely right Cheri.
I would hate to see Cane toads everywhere in NZ but there would be a plus factor, Cane Toad racing lol, saw it on animal planet people do it in Australia.
