Hi, I'm new here, so allow me to introduce myself A few pics of my Thelodermas.Th. asperum:"Kindergarden" Th.asperum's tank:Th.corticale:Th.corticale's tank:
Welcome! Where did you get that mossy frog I have never seen one for sale
Great pictures.
@Nick, Russia is notorious for it's research on Theloderma,
most in Europe originate from their breeding stock
It's because of their connection with Vietnam etc.
Very nice pictures! Thanks alot for sharing and welcome to the forum!
Are all species of Theloderma of the same size? Think I've read somewhere that the asperums are smaller, is that true?
Can you feed them anything besides fruitflies? Roachnymphs and small crickets?
Thanks Exactly Today in RF keeps at least 9 Theloderma species (T. corticale, T. gordoni, T. leporosa, T. asperum,T. stellatum,T. bicolor, T. licin, T. horridum, T. ryabovi) and breeds 7 of them (T. licin and T. ryabovi still have no pairs ). Here is many great specialists like N. Orlov, S. Ryabov, E. Rybaltovsky, M. Bagaturov, R. Berdyev etc.. Really, I was surprised that you don't have them in sale because these 2 species are 'ordinary' here and they costs approx. 500-800 rubles ($17-27) Few other species are not so popular but still available. Are they absolutely not available in USA? Very sad
I think T.corticale is one of biggest species and can reach 8-9cm (3-3,5 inches). Asperum are smaller, they reach approx.3cm (1 inch) and can be feed by anything From fruitflies to big insects. Here are adult frogs:You can also saw articles of Eugeny Ryboltowsky (is it translation correct?) here: Articles - breeding of rare Vietnamese amphibians
beautiful frogs! and welcome
Thank you I hope I'll be useful. And I can say a few word about caring them if you interested.
Info is always welcome
I have two vietnamese mossy frogs and have seen the other mossy frogs posted here. I purchased the frogs in N.C.
I fell in love with the Mossy Frog @ Repticon in Raleigh NC this year. They had a few for sale but since I'm new to keeping Cope's and Fowler's I'm stickin' with the locals. But they are awesome creatures!
Yes, they are very nice frogs.Attempt to escape

That is predator warfare 100%.lol Nice looking frogs. You can get rare stuff in NC . The laws are less stricked, than NY.
Do you plan on breeding the T. asperum? Would love to have a few of them myself. Your in Russia?
Approx. 1-2 month old T.asperum:

Do you have any experience with T. bicolor? Do they look like corticale?
