My 40 gallon breeder drops to 60 degrees over night. My Africans have been handling it like champs but I want them to be comfortable. Any ideas to keep a 40 gallon breeder nice and warm over night? Thanks.
I would get an under tank heat mat for them and stick it on the side of the tank. I just turned mine on for my spring peeper babies because we don't have the heat on yet, so the house has been dropping to the low 60's at night.

Yup ,it was cold here last night . It went down to 50. I'm lucky the room stayed at 73. Its time to take the ac out from the window. I hope you guys have extra heating pads. Also a 25 watt blue bulb is good for back up. This change will affect your frog.
I have read that using a night time bulb will help too. I have a 60 watt blue night bulb that I might start putting on for the peepers. They are just so tiny yet, that I worry about them.

what size heating pad?
A small one to keep an area warm so they can go if they are cold.

Ok, so I bought a Red bulb for night and it is not working in my dome lightning structure. it is too late for me to go back to pet co and return it tonight. So should I leave the day bulb on overnight, or just let the temp drop overnight?
No, don't use a daylight bulb on for the night. That will interrupt his night time cycle, did you buy a heat pad? You can turn that on and try to shut all the windows and cover part of their tank with a towel until you go tomorrow to get a replacement.
