    Default The First Croak

I heard my pixie croak when I was half asleep in my bed watching him in his water bowl. This was no grunt, he made a loud bellow that made me kind of jump up in excitement. I'm just pumped that I have a male on my hands. Sorry about the useless thread, but I just wanted to inform everyone that I have a male on my hands now .

He's in the 3-4 svl length right now. Lol, I took pictures of him right here because I thought it was funny that out of all the places he can go in his big tank he fits into the smallest crevice behind the water where I put a little dirt. Funny guy.

He was all puffed up in his water dish after he croaked so I knew it was a bellow and just the fact that it was super loud for that little guy. He didn't do it until late at night when everything was off including the tv, so I might of missed him doing it other nights... I'm happy though.

Awesome!! I love hearing Kadesh call, though sometimes he makes other funny noises and I blame my dog because it sounds like a fart! Congrats on it being a boy.

Just a related side question: does anyone know if females can makes noises too? Obi has become rather vocal, especially in her water dish. Not a bellow like a male, but definitely not silent, either. In the three years I have had her, I have never heard her make a peep.

Thanks . Females have been known to make grunts or minor noises. What types of noises do they sound like and how long do they go on for?
