The first time I bought these things a week ago, they're nasty and strong. I used to feed my frog in his tank, but now I find it a lot more easy to feed him in a seperate feeding bin. About a week ago I started pinching their heads so that they wouldn't burrow in the substrate, found that out the hard way. One of the superworms I pinched his head and I thought it would give up trying to burrow so I placed it in and my frog didn't go after it quick enough and it burrowed. The other one that burrowed I got out in time, but this one got away. My frog today has been burrowing everywhere on the other side of his tank where I think this one may be to sleep during the daytime. Do you think that this one could bite him, or do you think its pupated or hid for now? When I feed him tonight I will make it a main priority to try to find it while I'm feeding him in his separate bin.
I would find it as soon asap. Your frog is worth more then a ten minute clean out. This way you and your pacman could rest, and relax . That happened with my toad . I talk the tank outside and found it. Then i put everything back, including the frog.lol
Alright I'll take him out right now.
Yup I found the superworm. It only took me like a minute and a half to fine it too, so worth it. Feel a lot better about my frogs safety and all that good stuff. It was curled up, but still alive and fighting back when I picked it up. Soaked him in a warm water bath while I was trying to find it
. Thanks.
