Default Slight concerns. Assistance would be much appreciated.

I recently purchased my pacman from a friend who was unable to keep him. I have been taking as good care of him as possible. He has shiny, alert eyes, quick reflexes, and normal behavior. All in all, he doesn't seem to be in terrible shape. He came out to sit in his water dish for the first time today (the first time I saw him do it anyway) and I noticed that I can see the contours of what appear to be hip/leg bones. I'm pretty sure this isn't right, and that he is underweight. Does this indicate he is underweight? What is the best way to raise him to a healthy weight quickly if so? Thanks for your help.

We really need a photo before we can answer that. If he's eating and you need him to gain weight quickly, give him a few pinky mice (no need to feed live ones, just thaw out frozen ones from the store).

All right. I will try to get a photo of him up soon for verification. Yes, he is eating with all the zeal expected of the species. Thank you for the advice.

How old and what size is the frog? Variety is also good in pacmans' diet. Crickets are good for a staple, but try mixing it up things such as nightcrawlers, hornworms, and pinky mice. Also, you should dust the crickets with calcium dust once a week for healthy development. Check out the pacman care article on this site. If his appetite is healthy, then you're probably ok, but it would be good to see a pic like John said.
