Re: help me out
Souds like everyone agrees on it being a male giant, very excited. I was gonna ask are earthworms/nightcrawlers really healthy for them like ive read on some sites? I can get them from the bait shop down the street easily, i try to keep crickets on hand too but sometimes shipments run low. Ive been wanting to try dubias but no one locally has them and I dont havea good place to keep them warm enough to breed and i dont want a heat lamp all the time in my basement.

Mark ,what i noticed is that we are getting alot of disrespectful kids with attitudes. There used to be alot of professors and important people here with degrees in the herpetology field. I'm no bargain but i try to keep it fun and educational. It must be me ,i don't know.

Night crawlers are a great staple food for pixies, plenty of nutrition and high in protein. Very easy for them to digest as well as they don't have an exoskeleton. Just make sure the bait shop you get them from doesn't use any additives on the night crawlers like scent or nitrogen. I buy large ones from Walmart, the tub is usually called something like bait connection 25ct large night crawlers. You can buy dubias online, but if you don't want to breed them that's cool.

Ah, I see. That sucks, I would of really like to of met and talked with some more important people. I love the community here though right now, so I can't complain. I know you always keep it 'neutral' and fun. No disrespect, haha.

Whats your walmart charge if u dont mind my asking, most of them here dont carry worms anymore. If i spent the money on dubias i would be in it to breed them, they aint cheap! lol
on the other topic of the forum, i'm new to this one but I am a moderator on another site with 150,000 members, eventually you want to make things as easy as possible because there are some crazy people in this world lol

I think it's about $2.50 for 25 large night crawlers, with tax it's around $3.00. So pretty cheap and easy to care for, just stick them in a fridge haha. Yeah dubias have gained popularity and are getting up there in price, still reasonable though. Not like hornworms, those are expensive. Like $15.00 for 10 of them or something like that.

Re: help me out
2.99 for 20 night crawlers, or 40 wigglers.

That's what I do, I'm just waiting on my dubias. I'm not going to feed him a rodent for awhile. My pixie is perfectly healthy right now and really plump without rodents. A rodent once a month or every 2 months is perfectly fine though.

Haha yeah, I plan on giving him one maybe when he's about 5 months old around there. He's about 2 1/2 months old right now I believe.

I am 17, And I love this site, I have been keeping frogs since I was very young, due to my uncle who always got me some and taught me a lot about them, now he comes to me for advise, it's great. I will show no one disrespect or attidude. I hope to go on to college for herpetology after I graduate this year.
