Just thought i'd have a bit of fun... i'm curious to find out what everyone's favorite amphibian is, doesn't necessarily have to be something you've kept, and it doesn't have to be one i'm sure people have loads of favorites
Sorry if this has been done before, i did search to see if i could find a previous thread, but couldn't...Anyway
I think my favorite frog is probably the mossy frog, close second amazonian milk frog
toad is between the waterfall toad and the bumble toad...
Yeap its very hard to choose
look forward to hearing about your fav amphibians
oops sorry just found it... feel free to delete mods

I like them all, but my favorite has to be the red eyed leaf frogs. I think the colors of them, the darts and the pacmans are the prettiest. I also loved my red belly toads, especially how energetic and silly they are. Gee, decisions, decisions.

I totally agree with Heather….I like them all too !!! It’s so hard to choose which particular amphibian that I like, but I have to say that I’m most partial to the Wood frog (Rana sylvatica). They are absolutely amazing and intelligent creatures. I admire their ability to survive below freezing temperatures here in AK and elsewhere, by freezing themselves with a special chemical in their blood, similar to antifreeze.
However, I also really like the Red Eyed Tree frog and the Golden Poison frog.
I would have to go with American toad. They are like little ninjas when they're hungry. Fun to watch!
This was our little buddy Dumpy. He finally passed away last year. He was a funny fella. Thought you'd like a picture .

How long did he live, if you don't mind me asking? I've heard everything from 5-15 years with toads.
