Default I need a little help with my toad

As you know i have a new cane toad. His set up is a 2x3 bub. He has a nice water bowl, and some ciypress mulch. I through some super worms in there but he is not eating. He is also very nervous when he sees me. Can anybody help me that has or had them. I think they are magnificant. I also did some research but just basic stuff. All i know is that you can't kill this guys.

Not to downsize your great find or anything.....but maybe you were able to buy the cane toad at such a low price ($3 right?) because the vendor knew something was wrong with him—since he's not eating—and wanted to get rid of him. At petco, I have seen several sick animals and they are usually sold at a very cheap price. If the toad was wild caught, he could be in a lot of stress and may need some time adjusting and thus getting comfortable enough to eat.

When I usually get a new frog, and he doesn’t eat, I place in him a small container lined with wet paper towels and put a clump of moss in there so he can hide. I then put 3 or more crickets in there to stimulate his appetite and put the container in a warm, quiet room to make him feel comfortable. This usually eliminates the amount of places the crickets can hide and makes them more accessible to the frog.

Don i have him for 1 day .Autumn, I picked him out of a group of 10. They were going like hotcakes. The guy gave me a story that they were farm raised. Does anybody know anything about that. To get back to maximus, I gave him some cat food, and meal worms. Nothing yet. and what about the cypress mulch should i mix in some coco fiber and topsoil, like my pacman setup. You think it needs time to get to know its new home.. It definitely like his water dish.

Oh it might take a little time to settle in then. Could be days before he eats.
To reduce stress, have a place for him to hide, cover some sides on the enclosure, and keep him in a quiet part of the house.

He should come around but takes time with some frogs.

Don i took your advice . I also went to a nice care sheet by john and took in some info. Now i feel much better and 100 % confident. This road is all new to me . But i think its ok because i heard you can't kill these toads. It is a hardy animal as some know. He is in a large tub, with inch coco/soil. and a water bowl.in a quiet room. So now we wait.
