Yes, this is my newest addition (I also have a female Emperor). He was a bit defensive because I had to use a spoon to gently get him out of the container I brought him home in. Plus he was being eyeballed by a too curious cat. Once the spoon was put away and the cat was gone, he calmed down and didn't look so intimidating. Titan...now that would be a great name for a scorpion....or a Giant African Bullfrog!!

Isis, my female, was a rescue. She was obviously tormented and is super aggressive and not in the best health. Mathayus is much calmer, more curious and not as easy to become defensive. I am still very careful when I do maintenance in either tank, as the thought of getting pinched or stung is less than appealing.

Cheri-while my daughter was cool with the new arrivals, my partner was not. However, since I do the feeding, the cleaning and the misting, I bypassed the naysaying and brought them home!

As tempted as I am to try a black light briefly, I know that such lighting is not healthy for my scorpions, so I have decided not to. But I have seen pictures and must admit it does look pretty cool.
