I think he's going to be alright . Keep in mind be careful of the AC in the room the frog is in.
Moon light or red light will not interrupt their night time cycle, just provide heat and display for you to see them. Use a multivitamin once a week and a calcium supplement a few times a week unless the multivitamin already has calcium you should be fine. The small amount of d3 is all you need for him to absorb calcium, he doesn't need uv. Yeah for now I suggest cutting your worms in half.
I just got back from my Yoga class and my temp went from 71 to 77 with the mini pad! I have his front, side, and part of top covered just to let him be with himself and no stress. I misted him down again and he moved around. He hasn't burried in the new soil yet, he is kind of off centered from where I left him. Not sure if the plant made it awkward for him to bury?
I got the multivitamin and the calcium for all my reptiles so I will def give him that for his worms. Is he too small for large sized crix? The smalls just seem like they are a little bigger than his eyeball :/.
If your pac is a baby he/she needs to be fed baby crickets which are small. Large are too big for a baby. There are different sized small crickets. When you buy them you'll get some tiny pen head ones and some a little bigger. Baby pacs need baby crickets. You can feed the little guy/girl 4 to 6 a night.
He'll be eating bigger crickets in no time. I gutload mine, but I've learned that the tiny ones are hard to get to eat anything. They die easy. I've started breeding a small number in a 2.5gal tank.
The temp was at 71 thats to low for baby pacs this what happens. You have to keep it at 80 for now.
yea thats why i got the heating pad so i can get the temp up. Its at 78 right now, if it doesnt hit 80 im gunna get like a 25, 30, or 50 watt infared for him.
Do Pacmans always breath heavy? I moved his plant to see how he is and he was breathing really fast and heavy
True.
So I tried feeling him one inch of a Trout worm and he didn't buy it at all. just burried himself deeper.
I think hes just trying to adjust to the heat and his new tank - I'm hoping -_-
Put the worms away for now and let him rest a day. Make him comfy. Give him a warm spot, medium spot, and cool spot. Like a water dish. The substrate so he can dig in. They get stressed out quick. One of my older pacs wouldn't eat so i let him go for today.
Yeah, I covered him back up and letting him adjust. I had to do 2 weeks of not touching my crested gecko before I could work with her. My patience is needing improvement, lol.
When you do try and feed the little guy/girl next. Put like 4 of the little baby crickets in with him/her and then just leave the little Pac alone and see if her/she will eat them over night. You can count and see if you can find them in the morning.
