I put 5-6 crickets in Perrys viv on Monday night and Im a bit concerned that there are still some in there. I dont know if he has eaten at all or if they are all still there, I can only see 2 so far this morning.
Also we have had him a couple of weeks now and I still havent found any poo's in his viv.
Is this normal that one he isnt eating all the crickets and that he hasnt poo'd yet.
I have got 2 fairly large plastic plant things in there and Im thinking should I remove them as the crickets are hiding in them. If I remove them Perry will have other places to hide as there is a log he can get behind.
He obviously has been eating as he has taken food that was previously given.
Do I need to worry?
I would leave the plants and it is possible that the droppings are down in the plant.
What type of frogs is Perry and posting a pic of Perry's home would be useful in providing help.
1.0.0 Red Eyed Leaf/ Frog - Agalychnis callidryas
1.1.1 Bumblebee Dart Frog - Dendrobates leucomelas
1.1.0 Dendrobates truncatus - Yellow Striped

Perry is a White's Tree Frog. The plastic plants are suspended from the glass of the viv, they are held up by sucker thingys.
I have hopefully attacked a photo of his viv for you. As you can see the plants hang from one side and then there is a piece of cork bark in one corner. This came in his old viv so we kept it. He then has another piece of wood for climbing on and his water bowl.
Is this all too much?

The frog is quite capable of actively hunting crickets at night in a terrarium. If you know he is still eating then I wouldn't worry too much. The terrarium needs more cover - tree frogs don't like to be so exposed. Make sure the humidity and temperature are correct (and stable) and start counting the crickets you put in and how many are left.

After taking some further advice we have finally done it.
I put Perry into a clean tub (with a lid) along with 8 smaller crickets and he ate 5 of them....Whoo hoo.
Im so happy
Once he has had a couple of feeds on the smaller crickets I will see what else he likes. Didnt seem to keen on meal worms the other day but they were quite big too so maybe I had best get some smaller ones again.
Such a relief.
