    Talking Our New Pacman!

Here is our new baby pacman! No idea on gender yet, so no name yet either... Not even sure exactly which type it is. The pet store said it was ornate, but they don't know dittily so who know? I hope it keeps its color though.

Not that you asked for it, but I recommend Jolly (as in Jolly Green Giant) for a name. Or Lima because for some reason he reminds me of a lima bean.

Thumbs up Re: Our New Pacman!

I would of probably rescued it too if I saw one like that at local petsmart, it's a very nice looking Cranwelli.

I love this little guy. They look so Innocent, cute, and hopeless at that age. Grift ,make him happy and he'll bloom into a flower, just like the rest of them. I don't know not one ugly frog. Frogs are so stereotyped even in the fairy tales. good luck with him.

Thanks everyone for the posts! I'm really glad that I saved the little Pac too. I can already see the huge personality differences between Grif and the little guy/girl. I kind of hope its a girl since I already have a male. It's personality already makes me think that it is going to be more aggressive. The little Pac chows down on the crickets I put in. Chases them around the keeper. Im gunna try to feed it some red wigglers tonight. hopefully it wont be as picky as Grif when it comes to food. :-) I did get Grif to actually eat and swallow a night crawler last week. I had to force feed him, but he didn't try to spit it out and chomped it down.

Yeah, they grow like crazy! It's weird when I look from one terrarium to the other, because comparitively it makes baby-pac look even smaller and Grif look gigantic compared to each other. But our new guy/girl really isn't that much smaller than Grif was when we got him, and I know it won't be little for long! ;-) I still hope it keeps that green color though... still not sure on gender. From what I gather, it's pretty hard to tell until they are full grown. Leaning towards female though (It might be wishful thinking). It hasn't made a single noise since we got it, whereas Grif cheeped the whole way home when we got him. He has always been pretty vocal. We will just have to make a guess towards gender and name it and wait and see if we guessed right! Or pick a gender-neutral name.

Males should have a fat thumb. They have nuptial pads on their front feet that will darken for breeding. You could compare their front feet and see if there's a difference. It can still be very hard to tell in tiny frogs. I'm beginning to think my guy is a gal because of attitude and growth rate. I'm still hoping for a guy.
