My son has 2 fire belly toads, who began their stay with us in a tiny 2 gallon aquarium with some gravel in it. I was having a hard time keeping it clean, so last week I purchased a 10 gallon plexiglass aquarium and added a couple mossy rocks. Today I decided it is time to do this right. If we are going to have toads, shouldn't they at least have a nice home? I have seen several amazing toad abodes on this site, much more labor intense than I am ready to do right now. I purchased a small filter at wal-mart, used river rock (I boiled these to make sure they were clean) to make a waterfall, added some plastic plants for hiding spots and about 2 1/2 inches of water. The frogs seem to like it and I am trying a few minnows in the deeper water, just because they are fun to watch.

Very nice! Careful the tall rocks are secure. I bet they are happy.

Glad to see you're doing it right. Let us know if you have any questions.
