Not that big yet, but the're doing fine. They're from this year's last batch
of about 80 eggs, early july.

Hi Han. Aren't you the expert on this species? Thank you for sharing the photos .

Wouldn't call myself an expert John, just a dedicated care-taker
of the species for quite a few years now. I happen to have a
fantastic group of 10 adults that make breeding rather easy.
I just support them with an appropriate habitat, daily bread and some
knowledge i gathered over the years.

It would be great if you could write an article on their care.
They look great any chance you would be selling those?
Han lives in the Netherlands, Tom. It's not practical for him to sell them internationally.

I shipped CB Bombina maxima through Europe, Italy, Poland, Spain etc.
Got several requests over the years from people in the U.S. but never
looked seriously into the matter because i presumed shipping to be too
expensive.
But according to a "wanted" posting at the Caudate forum, CB Bombina maxima
should be available in the U.S. too:
"Thanks for the offer, but I miraculously found a breeder here in the states (they're not very common here in the US) thanks again though. But, could you give me some pointers on specifics for temperature for different parts of the year, environment, food, water etc. I have done my homework, but a lot of the info is directed towards Bombina in general. I did find some stuff specific for them, so I do have a very good idea for set up and what have you, just curious about the specifics I mentioned. Thanks again!".
I told him (her?) i was very much surprised and asked if he (she?) was sure about the find:
"Thanks very much, and yes I am sure the breeder sent me photos of his Bombina maxima and his set ups. I'm very excited to have found these. Thanks again for the pointers".
