    Default Hylomantis lemurs....Oh baby!

So I've decided to finally to pull the trigger on a small group of these guys from Understory. Not cheap, but considering that they are critically endangered in the wild, i figure that I can hopefully get them breeding and help out the population.

Plus, half of the cost goes towards CRARC, which is doing some great things for amphibians down in Costa Rica.

I'm really excited (and a bit nervous) so wanted to share with everyone. I'll keep y'all updated!

Those look amazing. I really like them. Understory Enterprises is not cheap but as a hobby we need to support them. They bring new species into this hobby that weren't available before. I don't have any problem paying a little extra for frogs from them knowing that they will use that money toward a true conservation effort. How many species would we be missing from our hobby had it not been for their effort?

Those are some incredibly big eyes on the pretty tiny body.

If he had big ears I'd be starting to worry.

I've seen these in person and they're quite a fetching tree frog. I am actually very excited to see what Understory brings in over the next couple of years.

I actually wanted to get some cruziohyla calcarifer initially. I also hear that they're working with glass frogs as well

Im real interested in what they'll be able to import soon too. They (and we) owe a lot of their success to the people down at the Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center (CRARC)
