Mmmmmm Kurt! You're making me hungry Apparantly, fried crickets taste a bit nutty... Wouldn't want to find out for myself though!
Crystal, I'm also surprised to find so many female frog fans on here. Most of the girls I know think I'm weird for liking frogs, but I think they're amazing! I'm even starting to appreciate crickets... I was dusting them and feeding them last night and I felt a bit sorry for them........!!

Hehe, you know things are bad when you feel sorry for the crickets.

Only if your pity for the crickets outweighs your pity for the frog. My deal with them is: I let them live and grow and mate and eat nutritious food while living off of my power bill increasing heat lamp... and I get to kill some of them by way of gutloading them for 2 days and sacrificing them to an amphibian.

Better then if they escape and get chased by cats until they either get killed or starve to death. (What sucks is that happened to one I gut loaded. Such a waste.)

Hi Chrystal,Katie. It's like that with my Locust. I do find it hard to feed them, especially the adults who have given me baby's. You do sort of get attached but I love my frogs more. I find it hard when I have visitors that just turn up and i haven't had time to take my insects to another room. This Forum is awesome, as theirs not many like me here in NZ.
