    Default Sorry! Another question!

Just wonderig how long it takes White's to grow to full size? Mine are tiny, not even an inch but can't WAIT for them to be big 'n' chunky They eat 2-3 small crickets a night (witnessed it last night for the first time! Was so excited!!), that sound ok?

Hi Katie, I know they reach adult hood in 1-2 years and they are on average 10cm but have been known to get to 15cm. As for feeding I'm not sure as unfortunately I don't own one. I do know that you have to watch their weight as they do tend to get over weight, but as your wee Darlings (Herbie & Pip) are so young, I imagine won't have to worry about that for now as they are growing.I know with my frogs that a variety in their food is good for them. It's fun watching them eat, you aren't alone when you say you get up in the night to watch them.

I'd second that, feed them as much as they'll eat at that size and dust the crickets with an amphibian friendly calicium/vitamin powder once/twice a week to keep them healthy!

Also if you fancy feeding them by hand the occassional wax worm will go down a treat!

I know they get fat if overfed, but thought that they'd eat more while they're growing up Haha @ Ebony, I've even started sleeptalking about them.... they must really be on my mind! It's like having a baby!
I'd LOVE to hand feed them, thought maybe they're too small for waxworms at the mo? I'm going to get some fruitflies today, see how they go down.... Yummy!

Us amphibian geeks need to stick together. Perhaps there's a career in the sciences for your daughter .

Hey Katie, I know what you mean, I have a 11 & 12 yr old. My kids and I talk about starting a Frog sanctuary and how we are going to keep the Frogs safe. The way things are going well be lucky to have Frogs at all soon. Its only dream talking but who knows what the future brings.
