2 of my 6 tadpoles have become froglets!
Here are Hopkins (on left) and Puddles (on right).
That's very exciting...thanks for sharing.
Yay! I'm jealous that you've come up with names already; I still haven't named mine, except for how I differentiate who's who by the markings on their backs. Though I believe I will always think of one as the Flying Spaghetti Monster
Love the name! We started thinking of fun names right away. My husband likes the Hopkins name (and he is a character in one of my son's DVDs with "Miss Marnie"). Then I just went looking thru names that have similar characteristics....Puddles was one of my favorite names. Of course, if all 6 make it, we are seriously considering naming three of them Bud, Weis, and Er!
Very exciting and I'm glad I got to see at least 2 of them get their front legs. I fear that my other three are going to pop while I'm gone and I have 4 tanks set up for this possibility! The froglet tank (#1 with Hopkins and Puddles), #2 with 2 tadpoles with very established hind legs and front legs spiracles are showing, #3 with 1 tadpole with hind legs, but not really using them yet and the last tank #4 has my final tadpole with hind legs just now emerging. My neighbor will be coming to check on them...I'm nothing if not organized and ready for him!
Labor Day weekend travel was successful! Two more tadpoles became froglets and the first 2 have all but lost their tails! I two more stragglers that are still tadpoles....
Here are some pictures, including updates on the first 2:
