Don't feed wild roaches, just captive cultured. There's a world of difference, both in terms of disease and nutrition.

John is right-captive bred and raised only! I've seen wild roaches eat poison and walk away, perfectly fine. If anything ate it, it might not be so lucky. I can't get the proper, fast breeding, captive bred roaches in Canada, but I stumbled across Hissing Cockroaches so I snagged two males and the lone female. They don't produce as often, but something is better than nothing. I'm just worried I'm going to want to keep all the babies instead of using them for food!! I'm running out of room for tanks.....
