Bog plants tend to be sinks for any nutrients available (bogs are nutrient poor areas). So that would be most salts available and I suppose that would include salts of iodine. I think it's a bit of a stretch to think there's much in there though. And yes it's safe for the frogs, as long as they don't eat it and become impacted.

Thanks i just am sometimes a little paranoid about my little friends. In man vs wild he uses it like a water purifier saying that the iodine will remove any nasty parasites and bugs.
