Interesting questions. My thoughts:
Mealworms: Fine occasional or semi-regular food for pacman frogs and african bullfrogs. Not very nutritious but good for variety.
Waxworms: Fatty but a decent food - I find them really good for growing frogs. For growing salamanders I use them as a staple, though for frogs I haven't tried that.
Red wrigglers: Excellent staple food, just like night crawlers, but some red wrigglers give off a distasteful defensive fluid that isn't actually harmful, but may take a few attempts on different days to convince your frog to eat them.
