When I feed my pixie which is every 2 days, I feed him about a dozen medium-adult size crickets mixed with a few large night crawlers. Supplement about a dozen crickets once a week with Reptivite D3. He's close to about 3 svl I would guess. After he is done either that night or the next day he usually poops 2-3 good size logs in his water dish. Right after I get done feeding him he looks like a normal pixie with a pretty good size belly stretching across. After he poops he slims out and isn't bone skinny, but he tends to be on the slender side for pixie standards. Is this not good, should I be feeding him more fatty foods mixed in with his staples like superworms and some frozen thawed out pinkies every now and then? I kind of want to stay away from foods as those just to prolong my pixies life and get plenty of nutrition. He's a very good eater, very healthy. Just curious if this is abnormal or not. I mean obviously he's digesting his food properly with correct temps, just a little too fast for me to be curious.
Quick note: Every 2 days I feed him for 15-20 minutes as much as he'll eat with a stopwatch.
I think you're doing a fine job. I wish more people took your approach. The only thing I will add is that a bit of variety every now and then is a good thing.
