Just tonight I've noticed one of my RETFs is calling nearly rapid fire, different calls too, or maybe it's the other responding, I'm not sure honestly. He's JUST done it again, five chirps "rolled" together. He's (they?) been doing it every ~20 seconds for ten minutes now. Neither of them has ever done it so many times in a row. Is there a specific reason? I'm just wondering. :] There's two males, they're in a glass ~50gal hex tank with lots of plants, a nice little mini-"pond in a dish", humidity and temp has been constant. They used to have a female with them but we had a little escape accident and, though I found her in time, she didn't last more than another week. :[
& there again, three more chirps!

I have three male Red Eyes and I have noticed one is definately more dominant and has more luck with the girls. He is also louder and chirps more often than the others. I can just play the radio softly and he'll hear it and start up. I think it's fun... When he's really going I can "chirp" at him and he'll chirp back. The louder I get the louder he gets.
