Don't keep any other (froggy) species with this toad, they do secrete toxins. I think fish are ok but I'm too afraid to try. I declorinate my water every time, this is a must. Great looking tank, and welcome to the forum!!

Thank you all for your reactions!
Unfortunately I have to let you know last night one of our frogs diedI truely have now idea what happened, she (/he) was standing up in the water frozen in this posture when I found it... Yesterday she still was lively and eating and swimming about...
Since we bought them on a Sunday the stores were closed so we picked up a few bottles of mineral water for their first few days and we read this would be good as well. Could this have been the problem after all? Or could it have been some kind of dissease what didn't show?
I ran to the petshop this morning and picked up a tiny heater with protection around it, a nice filterpump and some stuff to dechlorinate the water.
Hopefully the other 2 will do fine and be happy...
I'm sorry to hear about your little toad. Unfortunately, it is hard to say what caused it to die. Based on your photos and your writings, it doesn't sound like it was anything you did or didn't do. These are hardy little toads, but occassionally they pass on for no obvious reason to us. I am sure your other toads will be okay and very happy. Best of luck!
The other 2 seem to be female since I haven't heard anything since the third died. They seem to be doing very well, and I just fed them with tweezers and they had no problems with it what so ever! I also think the green one is starting to understand the concept of a feeding bowl
Even though it has decided that she'd rather be a tree-frog! Haha!
The new set-up

Hi Monty, Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry that you lost one of your FBT's. I know that you will enjoy the others. One of mine is a climber like the one you posted a pic of--actually, he's my favorite, he has a zany personality--but, I wanted to let you know that FBT's can be little escape artists--be sure that the mesh at the top is very secure!
I think I still have one female and one male left, I heard some croacking!
@Heather: Still thinking about adding anything else or not. Is it usefull is my main question, because if it is I'd like to add some cherry shrimp but otherwise I'm quite happy with having my FBT's and a seperate aquarium now. Nice setup by the way!
@heyjude2200: Thanks for the tip, the mesh is very secure on top from the start, just to be safe
@Hopper: you might be on the wrong forum?
