Mine used to croak loudly every night , now they have stopped and haven't made much noise in months . I have switched their tank around to less water and more land area , wonder if this has affected the croaking . They are still really active though , their coloring is good and eating the same .
They will croak for much of the year if the humidity and temperature is appropriate.

The tank is in the same spot in the house , so the temperature is the same . I mist the tank every morning really good . The old setup was a floating island with all water . Maybe they liked it better ?
They used to croak SO LOUD it was crazy . I had to move them out of my bedroom . Every night they'd go crazy . One of them is really fat and he has a big deep croak that resonated the tank .
perhaps. mine wouldn't make a peep while they were in their temporary house, but the day i put them in their new tank they croaked nearly nonstop!
My male Fire Belly Toad only croaks in the spring, is that normal? Else I always fall asleep before I hear them!![]()
My toads started croaking again . I changed the tank back to all water with a floating island , big piece of cork bark . The guy at the pet store said the toads think it flood season , mating season , so thats why they started croaking again .
