Now I know this may sound silly and I can't prove it but I feel pretty confindent my frog just thanked me. So here's what happended:
My Cobalts are in a vivarium on my desk at work and I watch them throughout the day. There is a Coco hut in their tank and they go into it many times throughout the day through a little round hole on the roof. Its a big enough hole that they fit through relatively easily but do have to wiggle their back legs a little bit as they fall in. I've never really thought anything about it. This afternoon my boy decided to come out through the hole on the top instead of going in. He got about half way up with his head and his front arms out of the hole but he couldn't get his back legs out. I sat there watching him for about 5 minutes and eventually decided he was stuck and he wasn't going to be able to get out. He was struggling and eventually just stopped and sat there. I took the lid off the tank and reached in and tipped the coco hut upside down so he could reach the grownd with his front hands. He eventually pulled himself out. He immediately hopped away. I put the tank lid back on and sat down to watch him to make sure he was ok. He then hopped over to the the front of the tank where I was sitting and put one hand on the glass and sat there. I put my finger up to his hand and he stayed there for about 10 seconds looking at me and then hopped away. Now I know what you're thinking. Don't give human emotions to a frog. But I swear he thanked me. They do touch each other so I know that contact does mean something to them. Anyway I think it was cute and I just wanted to share it.![]()
Very nice Cheri. Would have made my day.
I actually had two of my Whites turn there backs on me the other day after I opened the Exo Door and told them there were no crickets tonight then shut the door. My wife and I were in awe as it was like they understood. We thought that was pretty weird.

I just changed the water in my bearded dragons cage, a huge water dish, air bubbler..a small hastle, an decided to mist them lightly because there shedding . well puppy loves the water an seems to relish it sprayed on him, Kitty, well she dosent like it, shakes it off every 3 seconds..she then walks away, looks over her shoulder as if to say..you done? so of course im not i spray her tail an lower body, she then leaves the tree branch goes down to the water dish, glides threw the water. stops, looks at me as if to say "you watching" jumps out runs threw the sand, jumps back in the water, jumps out an back up to her branch, an looks at me again...Oh they know ...thoughs that say "dont give human emotions to....." SHADAP!! I have to go change the water dish....
P.S he was thanking you.
I lost my original male Matecho who did this to a coconut hole while I was on vacation. He got stuck after getting his front half through and died, I suppose from the stress. Those holes in the tops of coconuts are death traps.

Needless to say I took out that coco hut. I guess I was just lucky to have been there.
My Pacman Grif did this once. My fiance was cleaning her terrarium and we had her in a critter keeper with a thin layer of substrate. She wasn't happy to be in there and I walked over and said hi to her and she puffed up stood on all fours turned around and planted her butt hard on the substrate with her back to me. My fiance laughed. Definetly was saying I'm angry and don't want to talk to you.
