Re: Making sure my frogs find a good home

    Ah! Sorry for late reply.

I took the petstore advice and dropped my Whites off there. Sadly my Leopard couldn't be donated because its native to the area and therefor illegal to sell. I'll...

How to hibernate a northern leopard frog

I've heard you can induce hibernation in leopard frogs by lowering the temperature, but how do you do this? Is it a gradual process?

I think I read somewhere you can put them in a fridge....? Does...

Re: Making sure my frogs find a good home

): I am gonna miss them, but I'm so busy lately I don't get to hang with them very much anyway. They deserve a frog enthusiast with more time on their hands...

    Anyway! I don't think I've ever used...

Making sure my frogs find a good home

Mkay so here's short version: when I got my frogs I was under the understanding that if I ever had to move to a home that can't house them (because of anti-pet rules) they would be taken care of....
  5. Re: Just recieved a Northern Leopard Frog as a gift...

Where's the edit button? :? Meant to say " sphagnum moss." (Apparently I was hungry when I wrote this?)
  6. Just recieved a Northern Leopard Frog as a gift...

I'll post a picture as soon as my camera is willing to cooperate with me. Any tips I should know about since I am used to keeping White's Treefrogs? I'm currently keeping him in a 10 gallon with peat...

So, I just met someone who owns tadpoles. (They do not know what kind. They found them in a lake.) They say they feed them hotdogs. How concerned should I be about this? (I did tell them...

    Re: What's wrong with Humperdink?

To back up Dalton: Never keep several different species of frogs in the same cage. They are usually poison to each other and they can eat each other.
In fact... keeping two frogs of the same species...
  14. Re: Proud New Frog Owner - Blue Chubby Frog or Dumpy Frog

I THINK you need at least a 20 gallon for a single white's tree frog by the time it is full grown.

Some White's Tree frogs might find a 20 gallon to be dis-satisfactory however and might try to...

    Misting?

I've been thinking about getting a misting system from my White's Tree Frogs. Any suggestions? The heater has been drying out my house lately and my younger tree frogs do not seem smart enough to...

Wow your guinea pig is a runner? Congrats! Most the guinea pigs I know are sitters. O_O

    Re: Fluker's Farm

Counted about 55+ beetle larva and 3 full grown beetles. Getting 55+ beetles out of a container swarming with crickets is not a fun way to spend my Tuesday night...

    Re: Breeding Crickets

Is it possible that your crickets might just be young and thus it is hard to tell if any of them are female?

My way of telling is: If they chirp they are male, if they have an ovipositor between...

    Re: Suicidal White's TreeF.?

Wow a lot to talk about.
