Re: how fast does MBD appear ?

It is so good to hear of your frog eating like she is!
  3. Re: My Pacman Frog just died, what did I do wrong?

I would like to say your juvenile frog has no reason to go into aestivation.. it was the fact that your setup dried out extensively over a short period of time. Also the moss most likely was eaten...

    Re: Pacman wont eat

Place crickets in front of it with its legs pinched off. At least one rear leg and 2 front legs. The cricket will wiggle, leave them frog alone and your frog will feel safe enough to eat. It worked...

Re: Dead frog that is alive again?

Please post a current picture of setup. Do you use soil or coco fiber? If it is dry the frog could burrow and "dry up," these frogs can burrow and all right during a period called aestevation. But...

Re: Ran into an Issue, Any Help Appreciated

Yeah 72F is cold.. You need it at least 76F at night. You need 80-85F during the day. Glad to read you will be using a red bulb to warm things up.
  10. Re: Pics of my pacman and other frogs, plus a little more.

Nice pictures. One reason your African Bullfrog did not eat: feeding outside its enclosure causes stress. It is not necessary to feed in a tub outside of its enclosure.

    Re: preferences

Eli is right.. I think a seller online such as thefrogdepot or thefrogwhisperer are great sources.

Re: A Few Questions From A Begginer

That is good about the temperatures. Yes dust the nightcrawlers, I just dip worms in calcium. When I fed nightcrawlers 2 would fill up my frog. I am currently feeding red wrigglers (bait shop...

Re: A Few Questions From A Begginer

I would take up 1/4 of the tank's bottom with that heat pad. It is just 5 degrees too hot.. you can get one of these to control the heat pad's output....

  16. Re: My Collection updated (pic heavy) C. Cornuta and Brazilian C. aurita

They are quite alert & change color often, it is a good idea to get a cbb baby Cornuta.frogsmile

  19. Re: My Collection updated (pic heavy) C. Cornuta and Brazilian C. aurita

Yes it was a really high lamp distance. At the time my frogs were all setup in 10 gallon tanks you buy in Petco for fish. That sounds pretty good. How are they doing with 80F? I think you can bump it...

  21. Re: My Collection updated (pic heavy) C. Cornuta and Brazilian C. aurita

I think a ceramic heat emitter would work as well, I never bought one. True the red bulbs are probably less expensive. Besides looking so terrific, my Surinams change color all the time. I can tell...
  22. Re: My Collection updated (pic heavy) C. Cornuta and Brazilian C. aurita

I know of one shop that has one Brazilian (cbb) for sale. Snakes at Sunset. I bought one of mine, the first one from them. They are beautiful and develop reds on their hind quarters. They eat well...

Thank you Ra. I love them all not to post them on here.
  24. Re: My Collection updated (pic heavy) C. Cornuta and Brazilian C. aurita

Thank you! I agree whole heartily about Surinam horned frogs looks! I live in south FL so I do not need a heat source in my home. My setups are constantly reading 82-83F (I use a digital probe...
