Use only dechlorinated water to soak the coconut coir in. Do not use tap water by itself. The coir needs to be wrung out. Don't feed your frog meal worms. They are not good for Horned Frogs. Dust the...
What is the devil are Pac Attack pellets. Feed it dusted crickets and night crawlers!
Yes we are both still kicking. He's 3 I/2 and I'm 75.surprisedfrog
I believe he is a Ceratophrys ornate. I'm no hot shot sendng pictures. I'll give it a try.:)
FROG is alive and well. Next December I will have been keeping him for 4 years. I want to thank everyone for all the good information this forum gave me about Horned Frogs. With out that I don't...
You hope people like that end up in jail!
A little piece of advice before you go and buy a Horned Frog. Read as much as you can about the care and maintenance of them. Buy all the books on Horned Frogs there are. And join this Forum. You...
Like the before have mentioned you temperature should be 27-28 C. I wouldn't feed your Horned Frog mice. There can be health problems feeding rodents. Also are they really grasshoppers or are they...
Don't feed "her" mice, rats or goldfish. Worse thing you can feed Horned Frogs. Stick with crickets, roaches, earthworms(not red wrigglers) and cut up night crawlers. Night crawlers will survive for...
Do they sell REPTISAFE in the United Kingdom? I have used it for FROG ever since I got him in December 2013.frogsmile
I have used under tank heaters which I always put on the side of the tank since I bought FROG in December of 2013. I have never had a problem with them. That is the only thing I use to heat FROG's...
I would feed him "dusted" crickets and night crawlers.
If the heat pad is done right you should not have a problem. I have used one since December of 2013. They have been on the side of the tank, never on the bottom.
I wouldn't feed him mealworms. Their bodies are hard to digest. I would try crickets and night crawlers.:o
There is a heat pad that you can use with plastic tubs but I don't know the name of it.
FROG's back to eating "dusted" crickets and night crawlers again. :)
I have photos but the instructions on how to send them to this site are foreign to me!
FROG is starting to come out now. He has never "hibernated" before. He's eating "dusted" crickets and night crawlers.:o
Where did you buy him at?surprisedfrog
Now if only someone could clone " The Frog From Hell" he would have a lot of customers but only rich ones.:D
FROG only ate crickets for at least 2 years and he appears to be fine. I "dusted" them with ReptoCal and REPTIVITE at appropriate times. Now he is eating night crawlers and "dusted" crickets. I have...
Frog has been buried on and off since January. He appears to be ok from what I can tell. I dig him out and feed him a night crawler. This is the first time he has done this. I have had him since...
FROG isn't that big. He may be 4 inches across. I believe he is a male as he "croaks." He ate a thawed "pinkie" mouse last week with a night crawler. I stuck it in his mouth as he was eating the...
